Airtel
Bharti Airtel has partnered with ICICI Lombard to offer accidental insurance to users subscribing to select prepaid plans priced at Rs 239, Rs 399 and Rs 969. The policy is only applicable to customers who are aged between 18 and 80 years. The scheme member can make only one claim per policy per event, with a maximum of up to three claims within a policy duration. In the case of multiple Airtel prepaid SIMs, the maximum cover will be Rs 0.5 million. The policy will start from the next day, that is T+1 (one business day after the trade date) at 12 a.m., from the date of recharge. The key features of these plans include:
- The plan priced at Rs 239 offers 28 days of validity, unlimited voice calls, 2 GB total data and 100 SMSs per day. It offers accidental insurance of Rs 0.1 million for death or disability and Rs 25,000 for hospitalisation due to accident, for 30 days.
- The plan priced at Rs 399 offers 28 days of validity, unlimited voice calls, 2 GB data per day and 100 SMSs per day. It also offers accidental insurance of Rs 0.1 million for death and Rs 25,000 for hospitalisation due to accident, for 30 days.
- The plan priced at Rs 969 offers 84 days of validity, unlimited voice calls, 1.5 GB data per day and 100 SMSs per day. It offers accidental insurance of Rs 0.1 million for death or disability and Rs 25,000 for hospitalisation due to accident, for 90 days.
Jio
Reliance Jio launched prepaid data plans priced at Rs 11, Rs 49, Rs 175, Rs 219 and Rs 289. These plans do not require any existing plan. The key features of these plans include:
- The plan priced at Rs 11 offers one hour of validity and 10 GB total data.
- The plan priced at Rs 49 offers one day of validity and 25 GB total data.
- The plan priced at Rs 175 offers 28 days of validity and 10 GB total data. It also offers access to over-the-top (OTT) platforms including JioCinema Premium, Sony LIV and ZEE5.
- The plan priced at Rs 219 offers 30 days of validity and 30 GB total data.
- The plan priced at Rs 289 offers 30 days of validity and 40 GB total data.
Vi
Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has launched a prepaid plan priced at Rs 719 which offers a validity of 72 days, 1 GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMSs per day. However, the speed decreases to 64 kbps post the consumption of fair usage policy data. The telco also launched a 4G data voucher priced at Rs 23 which offers one day of validity and 1 GB of total data.
Further, Vi rolled out plans and offers for customers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The key features of these offers include:
- Customers will get 130 GB extra data over a year, with 10 GB data credited automatically every 28 days for 13 consecutive recharge cycles under the Vi Guarantee Programme. This offer is valid for Vi customers with 5G smartphones or those who recently upgraded to a new 4G smartphone on a daily data unlimited pack of Rs 299 or above.
- The RED X postpaid plan, priced at Rs 1,201, offers unlimited data along with complimentary features including a Netflix Basic plan, six months of Swiggy One membership and a seven-day international roaming pack, as well as priority customer service across Vi touchpoints.
- Vi offers Netflix subscription plans at Rs 1,198 for 70 days and Rs 1,599 for 84 days, with the Hero Unlimited package providing 12 a.m.-6 a.m. unlimited data, weekend data rollover and Data Delight.
- Vi is expanding its OTT bundles with Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLiv and SunNxt, with more partnerships in the pipeline.
Vi partnered with Sun NXT and launched two prepaid plans priced at Rs 154 (Vi Movies and TV Plus) and Rs 248 (Vi Movies and TV Lite). Customers will get access to Sun NXT along with other OTT platforms including Disney + Hotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5 and manoramaMAX.
