uns on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system (OS). The device features a 5 inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla glass protection, a screen resolution of 294 pixels per inch and a 178 degree viewing angle. The handset is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9830A processor, and has 2 GB DDR3 RAM and Mali 400 MP2 GPU. It has an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. The phone has an inbuilt storage of 8 GB, which can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD card. The Xolo Era X offers connectivity options like 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, global positioning system (GPS) and micro-USB 2.0. The operator’s standard prepaid data recharges start from Rs 99. Customers can recharge their account through various channels such as retail, online or mobile wallet. Through this service pack, the operator aims to provide flexibility to corporate customers and simplify their data experience.
Idea Cellular is offering a chance-based data pack through which users can receive up to 1 GB of 2G/3G data for Re 1. In order to avail of this offer, Idea’s prepaid users are required to install the My Idea application and make an online recharge of Re 1. Following the recharge, all users will get at least 100 MB of free data; however, the total data limit will differ from user to user.
Tata Teleservices Limited has announced different day and night plans for its Photon users in the Delhi circle. The company has introduced four plans, ranging from Rs 850-Rs 1,500, applicable to Photon Wi-Fi Max and Photon Wi-Fi Max Duo services for new and existing customers. These plans will allow the customers to opt for 50 per cent extra data during the night hours at the same tariff. For instance, at Rs 850, the plan offers 7 GB data during the day and 3.5 GB at night; and at Rs 1,500, the plan offers 20 GB data during the day and 10 GB at night.
