Vodafone India has announced a tariff of 1 paisa per second for its prepaid subscribers across five southern states: Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. The tariff plan has been branded the “One Rate, One South” pack. It will provide cost-effective mobile calls, both local and STD, to its 35 million prepaid customers across the five states. In addition, there will be no incoming roaming charges for customers in these states.
Reliance Communications has rolled out Facebook’s “Free Basics” platform for its subscribers across the country. The platform was previously available to its subscribers in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Goa. The number of free websites and applications available on the platform has been increased from 32 to 80. The service offers free access to a set of basic websites and services that provide information on health, education and finance.
Vodafone India has launched its RED Family@99 pack, which offers the convenience of a single bill, along with other benefits. The pack allows customers to share their plans with a family member or add devices at an additional cost of Rs 99 per month. A Vodafone RED customer can add up to five members or devices to the RED Family. RED Families can avail of unlimited calling among themselves at an additional cost of Rs 99 per month. The offer will be available on the company’s existing Red 699, 899, 1299 and 1,599 plans.
