Vodafone India has collaborated with HOOQ to enhance its video content offerings on the Vodafone Play app. Apart from video content, the app provides access to live television streaming, popular TV shows, movies and music. In addition, Vodafone has partnered with Eros Now and Amazon Prime to offer content at a discounted subscription price of Rs 249 to its customers.
Bharat Nigam Sanchar Limited (BSNL), in partnership with Data Infosys Limited, has launched its corporate e-mail service, which is priced at Re 1 per day. According to BSNL, it has started the e-mail service to ensure privacy and security of its customers’ data. The service will ensure that all BSNL enterprise e-mail accounts come with security tools and dual authentication that will prevent security breach. BSNL customers can avail of the service at Rs 365 per e-mail id with 1 GB storage and Rs 999 per e-mail id with 10 GB storage. The payment will have to be made once in a year. For usage beyond 10 GB, customers can buy additional 5 GB for an annual payment of Rs 500. Further, BSNL plans to launch a mobile application to access the service on smartphones.
Meanwhile, BSNL has entered into a partnership with Taxmann Private Limited to introduce goods and services tax (GST) suvidha providers and application service provider services for small and medium enterprises (SME) and big business houses. The application software will record invoices on a computer, handheld device or a smartphone, as well as help file GST returns and generate GST challans. It is easy to use and requires little information technology skills to ensure GST compliance. The service is targeted at small traders, shopkeepers and SMEs across India.
Aircel has entered into a strategic partnership with digital security products company Avast to offer mobile and data security solutions to its customers.
