Panasonic has launched the P55 Max smartphone. It features a 5.5 inch in-plane switching (IPS) LCD display. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor and has 3 GB RAM. It comes with an internal memory of 16 GB, which is expandable up to 128 GB. The phone runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system (OS) and is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery. It has a 13 megapixel rear camera with quad-LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. Vodafone India has introduced a new plan that provides users with 1 GB of 3G/4G data on a daily basis along with unlimited calls to any other Vodafone number. The plan is priced at Rs 244 with a validity of 70 days. However, the plan is only valid for first-time users and on the first recharge. The company has also launched another plan for its prepaid users. This plan is priced at Rs 346 and offers up to 56 GB data with a cap of 1 GB per day for 56 days. Further, the plan offers unlimited voice calls to any network with a daily and weekly cap of 300 minutes and 1,200 minutes respectively.

Vodafone India has launched Guru­gram’s first Wi-Fi enabled bus shelter at the HUDA City Centre. The shelter would allow customers to enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi for up to 20 minutes per day. According to Vodafone, subscribers of any telecom operator can avail of this facility. Vodafone’s Wi-Fi hotspot network is currently available across 115 prime locations in Delhi and NCR. Further, the operator offers 20 minutes of free Wi-Fi services at Dilli Haat (INA Market), Khan Market, Fortis Hospital (Gurugram) and all Voda­fone stores across Delhi and NCR. Going forward, Vodafone plans to set up more such Wi-Fi bus shelters across the region.

Telenor India has launched unlimited data packs for its prepaid customers in the Uttar Pradesh (East) circle. The company is offering two new special tariff vouchers (STVs), STV 95 and STV 17, with a validity of 28 days and 3 days respectively. The STVs offer unlimited data, however, as per the fair usage policy, there will be a daily data limit of 1 GB, after which the speed will be reduced to 128 kbps for that particular day. The data packs are available across 326 Telenor stores and over 88,000 points of sale in the Uttar Pradesh (East) circle.

Vodafone has partnered with digital magazine store Magzter to offer unlimited free access to over 4,000 digital magazines for the first month. However, after the first month, users will have to subscribe to one of the two plans, Magzter Gold Lite and Magzter Gold, priced at Rs 49 and Rs 199 respectively. The Magzter Gold Lite plan allows subscribers to access any five magazines of their choice for a month. Meanwhile, the Magzter Gold plan provides unlimited access to Magz­ter’s database for a month. For non-Voda­fone users, these plans stand at Rs 390 and Rs 990, providing unlimited access to Magzter’s database for a month and a year respectively.

Vodafone India has announced a new tariff plan called the “Vodafone Campus Survival Kit” for students in Delhi and NCR. Under the plan, students using Vodafone services will be able to avail of 1 GB of 3G/4G data per day along with unlimited voice calls for a period of 84 days. According to the operator, the scheme will only be available for new users at a price of Rs 445 for a month, after which, they will have to get a recharge of Rs 352.  In addition, the plan offers discount vouchers and freebies from select merchants. Although the plan has currently been launched only in the Delhi-NCR circle, Vodafone plans to launch it in other circles in a phased manner.
