The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has said that it has incorporated the views of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) in its report on the 2G case.
In its response to a notice from the Parliament?s Public Accounts Committee, CAG has said that it did not ask R.P. Singh, director general, audit, from asking DoT for its comments on the report.
It is believed that Singh had disagreed with CAG’s estimate of the losses caused by 2G spectrum allocation, pegged at Rs 1.76 trillion.
