Bharti airtel has said that it expects to generate revenues of $5 billion from its Africa operations by May 2013.

According to Manoj Kohli, CEO, international operations) and joint MD, Bharti airtel, the company hopes to achieve an EBITDA of $2 billion by 2013.

During 2010-11, airtel’s Africa operations reported a net loss of Rs 4.80 billion, while revenues stood at Rs 130.83 billion.

The operator also plans to replicate its business model in Africa and bring in its business partners like Nokia, Ericcson and Huwaei.
