VSNL has posted a 3.29 per cent rise in net profit of Rs 910 million for the second quarter of this fiscal year over the corresponding quarter in 2004-05. Total income has increased 18.97 per cent to Rs 9,612 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 over the same period in the previous fiscal year.
