
The Vodafone Group’s third quarter revenue from its Indian operations grew 16.7 per cent, including revenue from Indus Towers, according to news reports.
The operator said that revenue from India during the October-December period was up 3.5 per cent at approximately 71.26 billion, while the group’s total revenues for this period was ?11.9 billion. Its performance in emerging markets, led by India, also helped the group post a 2.5 per cent jump in revenues for the three months-ended December 10.
Vodafone also said that Vodafone Essar would launch third generation, or 3G, services in the ongoing quarter. Vodafone Essar had the highest mobile customer churn among its areas of operation at 46.7 per cent.
