Vodafone and BAE Systems have inked a strategic partnership for five years, wherein the operator will provide cloud-based mobile security solutions to the latter.
Initially, Vodafone will focus on smartphones and tablets and will serve as the preferred supplier of mobile communications for BAE Systems globally, excluding the US.
Over the next few months, the operator will launch the Vodafone mobile threat manager solution, which works across networks. This medium will scan traffic flowing from and to the mobile devices used in an enterprise, in order to safeguard them against malicious attacks and block inappropriate content.
