Vodafone plans to reduce its workforce in Spain by 25 per cent, say news reports. Currently, the operator has 4,300 employees and is looking at reducing it by 1,000.
According to news reports, this is owing to the operator’s rapidly falling revenues in the country. Over the last six months, Vodafone’s revenue in Spain has declined by 11 per cent. The company has already started engaging with the trade unions as part of its downsizing exercise.
