Vodafone, which had announced last year that it was buying Telsim, Turkey’s number two telecom operator, plans to invest $1.2 billion in Telsim’s network over the next two years. Consequently, Motorola and Nokia have both received dues worth $410 million and $341.25 million from the sale. The deal had been delayed because of debt owed to the two US mobile phone makers.
