
Vodafone India has entered into an agreement with Opera Software to offer web pass services to its subscribers.
The web pass services are expected to increase the adoption of data services amongst the operator?s customers. The Opera Web Pass facility will allow the operator replace complex, KB/MB-based data plans with time-based or content-based web-pass packages. For example, by using the service, customers will be able to pay to browse social networking sites for a day or an hour, rather than keep track of the data they have consumed.
Using the Opera Web Pass configuration tool, Vodafone India will be able to monitor and optimise web passes and campaigns in real time leading to faster testing and go-to-market timelines.
