Vodafone India is going to offer a suite of wireline services through Vodafone Business Services (VBS), the company?s enterprise arm.

Moving beyond mobility solutions, VBS is expecting to generate about 20 per cent of its revenues from wireline services over the next five years. The wireline services are aimed at corporate customers which require high bandwidth connectivity.

Vodafone India?s wireline infrastructure comprises 120,000 km of fibre backbone, with more than 350 point of presence across 130 cities and a network operations centre for performance management.

A few of the key services offered by VBS under wireline business will include private leased circuits, multi protocol label switching-based virtual private network, internet leased lines, office wireline voice, toll free services and audio and video conferencing services.

Commenting on Vodafone India?s foray into wireline services, Naveen Chopra, director, VBS, says, ?Having built a robust infrastructure over the last three years, we are now looking at wireline services as a key revenue driver for VBS. With our suite of offerings in this space, we are now a total communication services provider in the true sense. This is going to be one of our strategic priorities at VBS.?
