Vodafone India has stated that it will launch its 4G services in Kerala circle by end-December 2015. According to the company, the testing of its 4G services have commenced successfully and the first phase of the launch will see roll out of these services in Kochi, Trivandrum and Kozhikode.

The 4G services will be launched in the 1800 MHz band to provide for a faster and enhanced experience for its users. The company has stated that it is building robust and resilient network architecture with a strong backup to support the volumes and speed demands of the circle.

Kerala is a key focus market for Vodafone India and it has invested over Rs 3.50 billion for network upgradation in the circle in the first six months of 2015-16. The state contributes to about 15 per cent of the company?s data revenues, and the revenues from the circle grew at 80 per cent year-on-year in the previous year.
