Vodafone has reported an increase of 69.8 per cent in its adjusted operating profits from its Indian operations. The company posted an increase in profits from ?116 million for the half year ended September 2013 to ?197 million for the corresponding period in 2014. It also posted an increase in its revenues from ?2.04 billion in April-September 2013 to ?2.05 billion in April-September 2014. The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation  increased from ?604 million for the half year ended September 2013 to ?607 million for the half year ended September 2014.

It also has reported a growth of 7.81 per cent in its quarterly revenues. The Indian revenues increased from ?947 million for the quarter ended September 2013 to ?1.02 billion for the quarter ended September 2014.

Further, the company reported an increase in the volume of minutes handled on its Indian network from 155.51 billion for the quarter ended September 2013 to 165.76 billion for the quarter ended September 2014. However, the average revenue per user fell from Rs 191 in July-September 2013 to Rs 187 in July-September 2014. Meanwhile, the data usage increased from 22,481 TB to 44,582 TB for the period under review.
