Vodafone India invested Rs 2.08 billion on network and retail expansion in the Kerala circle during 2014-15. The operator added 150 new sites and 1,400 retail outlets during the year. It also expanded the reach of its mobile money transfer service M-Pesa to over 1,530 towns and villages in the state. It also added 530,000 subscribers during the year, taking the total number of subscribers to 7.2 million in the circle.

Meanwhile, Vodafone has been taking steps to increase adoption of data services. For the Kerala circle, data revenues grew at 75 per cent during 2014-15, contributing 14 per cent of total service revenues in the circle.
