Vodafone India has doubled its mobile internet rates for 2G and 3G customers across the country, implementing the hike in a phased manner.
The mobile internet rates for pay-as-you-go prepaid and post-paid mobile internet users has been increased from Re 0.02 per 10 kb to Re 0.04 per 10 kb.
Earlier, in November 2013, Vodafone India had reduced the charges for mobile internet usage from Re 0.1 per 10 kb to Re 0.02 per 10 kb.
As per the company?s financial results for the year 2014, Vodafone India reported 125 per cent year-on-year increase in data traffic on its network. The company reported that its data subscriber base stood at 52 million with seven million 3G data users.
