Vodafone has increased tariffs for its 2G services by 30 per cent.

The operator has increased tariffs for its monthly data plans while reducing data limits offered under different prepaid plans. The operator has revised the price of its existing data plan with a validity of 28 days from Rs 95 to Rs 124. It has also reduced the data usage limits for the existing data plans from 250 MB and 150 MB to 150 MB and 100MB, respectively.

The increase in data tariffs by Vodafone follows a similar move by Bharti Airtel. The operator had increased the tariff for its 1 GB 2G data plan by 25 per cent. It had increased the 2G data tariffs with the aim of covering costs and increasing margins.
