According to ICICI Securities, Vodafone Idea’s deceleration in subscriber loss may allow the operator to hike tariff in coming months.
ICICI Securities highlighted that Vodafone Idea’s capex is still low at Rs 10 billion owing to cash crunch. The brokerage firm further noted that the operator is yet to announce fund infusion and equity infusion is critical as it will allow the company to invest in the network and help bounce back.
Recently Vodafone Idea had announced that its subscriber loss had come down to just 2 million in comparison to 9.8 million subscriber loss in past four quarters.
Further, as per ICICI Securities, the telco added 3.6 million 4G subscribers as compared to 0.6 million in past three quarters and more so in unlimited packs, which is helping drive organic ARPU increase.
