In order to provide uninterrupted services amid COVID-19 crisis, Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) is deploying capacities using all means, including addition of cell on wheels (COW) sites, wherever appropriate. Further, VIL is continuously monitoring the traffic pattern and the company is confident of handling the growing demand for voice and data services during the lockdown period.

VIL has also requested the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to clear its pending applications for spectrum allocation. It is hopeful that DoT would expedite their spectrum liberalisation requests and regularise its backhaul spectrum.

Additionally, the operator has set up virtual war-rooms in which key team members can participate through concalls and video-conferencing.

As per VIL, senior team members are continuously on-call with the field to ensure uptime and operational continuity.
