Vodafone Idea has reportedly started operationally merging 6-7 of its weaker telecom circles with stronger ones.
The move comes as the telco plans to cut costs and focus on prominent markets.
As per industry sources, Vodafone Idea may even consider giving up spectrum in its weaker circles (by revenue market share).
The decision is expected to result in job losses.
Vodafone Idea has completed integration of 17 out of its 22 circles, according to its latest quarterly report.
