Vodafone Idea Limited has paid another Rs 10 billion to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) towards the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues, taking its total payment to an aggregate Rs 78.54billion.
According to VIL’s regulatory filing, it had earlier deposited Rs 68.54 billion in three tranches.
The payment relates to a Supreme Court (SC) AGR judgment on October 24, 2019. The DoT’s estimate for VIL was Rs 582.54 billion, of which around Rs 510 billion is still outstanding despite the latest payment.
The SC is expected to hear the AGR case today.
