Vodafone Idea has said that it has initiated 5G trials in Pune and Gandhinagar in partnership with Ericsson and Nokia.
The telco also said that the telco has made progress in deploying several 5G ready technologies such as massive MIMO, dynamic spectrum refarming and cloudification of core etc.
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) had recently allocated 5G trial spectrum in the 700 MHz, 3.5 GHz and 26 GHz bands to Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea (Vi) to develop India-relevant use cases based on 5G.
