Vodafone Essar is planning to enter the enterprise services market in India, which is growing at 10 per cent annually and is expected to touch Rs 470 billion over the next five years. The company is expecting to launch fixed line enterprise services to cater to both small and large enterprises by end-July. Initially the plan is to offer simple telephony, and domestic and international leased lines and VPN connectivity. Subsequently, it will look at deploying cloud telephony and cloud computing to be more cost effective.
Vodafone Essar is also setting up a network operation centre in Pune to tap the enterprise segment better.
