Vodafone Essar has been the biggest gainer of mobile number portability (MNP) in Kerala with maximum port-in requests. With a net gain of 14,675 subscribers, Vodafone has maintained a leading position in terms of additions in the circle, ever since MNP was launched on January 20, 2011.
The total postpaid and pre-paid port-ins stood at 2,688 and 43,925 respectively as on May 3, 2011. The main reasons cited by customers for porting in to the Vodafone network are its customer service, brand appeal and superior network quality.
