Vodafone has appointed Vittorio Colao as its new chief executive for the European region. Colao was earlier chief executive at Vodafone Italy and later was responsible for the southern European region, the Middle East and Africa. Arun Sarin, CEO of Vodafone, has been under pressure from investors to improve the company’s performance as it has displayed slowing revenue growth and reduced profit margins since November 2005.
