In a recent report, Bank of America (BofA) Securities has said that the lack of clarity around tariff hike and new funding could make Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) more dependent on government relief for improving its fundamentals.
These relief measures include potential floor pricing and an extra one-year moratorium on spectrum payment for 2022.
The BofA Securities’ report observed that a big issue in the sector is that consumption is high but pricing is low. In addition to floor pricing, Vi’s management believes that current plans can become more efficient by changing their architecture.
According to the report, Vi’s new plans offer a bucket of data for a particular period, which should help increase average revenue per user (ARPU).
