Vodafone India Limited (Vi) has announced a major upgrade to its network in Gujarat, deploying L900 technology across 26 districts, including Banaskantha, Mehsana, and Ahmedabad. This rollout includes over 3,300 sites, aimed at improving indoor network quality, especially in busy urban areas.
Additionally, Vi has upgraded more than 1,500 sites with L2100 technology in various locations to enhance data speeds for users.
This initiative is part of Vi’s broader plan to improve its network infrastructure following a successful fundraising effort through its follow-on public offering (FPO).
Commenting on the announcement, Sukanta Das, cluster business head, Gujarat, Vi, said, “The deployment of L900 and L2100 technology is an important step in enhancing Vi’s 4G network in Gujarat. This technology upgrade will enable Vi users to coverage, superior calling and faster data speeds on Vi GIGAnet-our best-ever network.
