Vodafone India Limited (Vi) has deployed 900 MHz spectrum on 3,043 sites in Madhya Pradesh (MP) and 1800 MHz band on 11,772 sites in Chhattisgarh with the aim of boosting indoor 4G connectivity for its users.
Vi has also claimed that, with the addition of 4,200 new time division duplex (TDD) sites and 730 (HOS), the data capacity has increased to 2.4 times between September 2018 and May 2022.
With 92 MHz of spectrum across bands – 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, and 2500 MHz – Vi has a spectrum holding of 31 per cent in the circle. The company stated that it has installed or upgraded 4,115 broadband towers since March 2021 taking the total population coverage on 4G to 71.9% in MP and Chhattisgarh.
