Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has reportedly surrendered partial spectrum in Uttar Pradesh (UP) East and West Bengal that were due for renewal in 2024. As per industry sources, the operator has surrendered around 12 MHz in both 900 and 1800 MHz bands.
Separately, in an investor presentation, Vi said that it has completed the minimum rollout obligations (MROs) for 5G services in four telecom circles. The company has a target to cover 40 per cent of population coverage with 5G in the first 24-30 months.
