The shareholders of Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) have approved equity allocation worth Rs 4.36 billion to its promoter entity, Vodafone Group Plc. As per voting results submitted to the stock exchanges, 99.94 per cent of Vi shareholders approved allocation of the equity to Euro Pacific Securities, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vodafone Group Plc.
Currently, the Vodafone Group holds 58.46 per cent stake in the company whereas Aditya Birla Group holds 16.53 per cent stake in the company. Of late, in March 2022, the company had raised Rs 33.75 billion from Vodafone Group and Rs 11.25 billion from Aditya Birla Group.
