According to Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi), it is set to significantly accelerate capital expenditure from the first quarter of financial year 2026-27 (FY27) and remains committed to its Rs 450 billion network expansion plan over the next three years, as the telecom operator remains confident of securing long-pending bank funding.
The company’s chief executive officer said Vi is very confident of raising Rs 250 billion in funded debt along with Rs 100 billion in non-funded facilities from a consortium of domestic and international lenders.
Vi reiterated that its planned capital expenditure (capex) between FY27 and FY29 remains unchanged and stated that network investments will intensify in the coming quarters. The company incurred capex of Rs 87 billion in FY26, compared to Rs 96 billion in the previous financial year.
