Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has announced the launch of its 5G services in Panipat and Ambala. As part of its planned rollout, Vi will also launch 5G services in Hissar, Bhiwani, Karnal, Bahadurgarh and Rohtak by May 2026. To expand its 5G services, Vi has been prioritising key markets, including industrial corridors, high data consumption centres and emerging urban clusters.
The rollout in Panipat and Ambala marks a key step in this expansion, with these cities standing out as major industrial hubs, driving significant data consumption. The planned rollout across Hissar, Bhiwani, Karnal, Bahadurgarh and Rohtak reflects the same approach.
With these launches, Vi is aiming to cover a mix of key growth markets like Karnal, a key commercial and transit hub; Rohtak and Hissar, prominent education and administrative centres; as well as Bahadurgarh and Bhiwani, emerging residential and industrial clusters witnessing significant data consumption.
Commenting on the expansion, circle business head, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, Vi, said, “We are accelerating the expansion of Vi’s 5G network across Haryana, as we strengthen our footprint across key markets in the state. Following our launch in Sonipat, and upcoming launches in Panipat and Ambala, followed by Hissar, Bhiwani, Karnal, Bahadurgarh and Rohtak mark important steps in this journey. Our expansion is guided by a clear focus on prioritising high-demand locations spanning high data consumption centres as well as areas with significant footfall including industrial and commercial hubs ensuring a consistent and enhanced network experience for our users.”
