According to OpenSignal’s Mobile Network Experience Report, Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has topped the 4G download speed and upload speed charts in April 2022, while Bharti Airtel has scored high in video, games and voice app experience.

Users on Vi’s network saw average download speeds of 13.6 Mbps, 0.4 Mbps faster than Airtel users. Likewise, Vi users observed the fastest upload speeds of 4.9 Mbps, on average, followed by Airtel and Jio, with speeds averaging 4.3 Mbps and 4.1 Mbps. Vi ranked first in download speeds across 10 markers and also took the top position in upload speeds across 14 markets. Whereas, Airtel scored 41.3 points in video experience, 62.3 in games experience, and 78.1 in voice app experience.

Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has led in 4G availability with users on its network spending the greatest proportion of time connected to 4G services, with a score of 99.5 per cent. In contrast, Airtel scored 98.3 per cent on 4G availability, followed by Vi’s score of 92 per cent. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) lagged behind with 63.6 per cent.  Jio also led 4G coverage experience with a score of 9.5, on a 10-point scale.
