Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has reportedly expanded the entry-level tariff hike to Gujarat and Delhi, after initially starting with Mumbai in May 2023.. Vi raised the entry-level tariffs from Rs 99 per month to Rs 179 per month.
Vi has made its move in order to reduce the validity of its Rs 99 minimum recharge from 28 days to 15 days to Gujarat and Delhi as well. According to the telco,it will observe the impact of the initiative and further take a call on expanding the strategy to other markets. The company stated that the industry needed tariff interventions in order to increase average revenue per user (ARPU).
