Vi calls for extraordinary general meeting to seek shareholders’ approval on Rs 200 billion fundraising plan

Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has invited its shareholders to participate in an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on April 2, 2024, to approve the company’s Rs 200 billion equity fundraising plan.

According to an exchange filing by Vi, the EGM will be conducted through an audio-visual medium where shareholders can participate in passing the resolutions of the company. These resolutions shall soon be publicly available.

Following the approval, the telco expects to complete the equity fundraising in the upcoming quarter. Promoters of the company will also participate in this round.
