Vi Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi), has expanded its advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) portfolio with the launch of smart gas metering solutions for city gas distribution (CGD) networks.
The solution builds on Vi Business’ earlier deployments i.e. India’s first AMI rollout in 2018, Vi Business is now extending its IoT and AMI capabilities to address India’s rapidly growing CGD sector.
Vi Business’ new offering leverages narrowband- internet of things (NB-IoT) technology and robust communication networks to help CGD operators enhance operational efficiency and improve billing accuracy.
