Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has reportedly begun testing its 5G services in Mumbai, making them available to select users at current plan rates. The commercial rollout is anticipated around Holi in mid-March.

During the trial phase, eligible customers can access unlimited 5G data at no additional cost. However, if they move out of a 5G coverage zone, their data consumption will automatically switch to 4G and be deducted from their 4G data quota.

Further, the next phase of the rollout is planned for Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Kerala, driven by the increasing number of 5G devices on its mobile broadband network.
