Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has appointed Sujeet Sharma as vice president (VP) – active network and commercial, where he will oversee the procurement for the company.
Prior to the appointment, Sharma served for 15 years at Bharti Airtel where he last held the position of VP and head of infrastructure procurement and operations. He joined Airtel in 2008 as senior manager in the supply chain department and moved on to roles such as deputy general manager and general manager in the department.
Before joining Airtel, he spent six years at Idea Cellular where he joined as senior executive – materials in 2001. His last position at the company was manager – material, after which he resigned in October 2007.
Sharma has a master’s in business administration from Pune University (1998) and has completed diploma courses in supply chain management from Indian Institute of Management and Indian School of Business over the course of his 23 year long career.
