Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has appointed K.K. Maheshwari as an Additional Director (non-executive and non-independent), effective March 3, 2022.
The appointment of Maheshwari comes in the backdrop of resignation of D. Bhattacharya from the Board of the Company with effect from close of business hours on March 2, 2022.
Thereafter, based on recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board has appointed Maheshwari, a nominee of Aditya Birla Group, as an Additional Director (non-executive and non-independent).
Maheshwari currently serves as the vice-chairman and non-executive director of UltraTech Cement Limited. He has been associated with the company for over 36 years and held key leadership roles, including that of steering the Group’s chemicals, international trading, pulp and fibre, textiles and cement business.
