Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Communications, Electronics and Information Technology and Railways, met Taro Kono, Minister for Digital Transformation, Japan, to discuss cooperation in emerging technologies, India’s digital public infrastructure and indigenous telecom stack.
During the meeting, Kono appreciated India’s digital payments system and the development of the country’s telecom stack. He also noted the vibrant innovation ecosystem in India that has led to a high number of patents in emerging technologies such as 6G.
