USA-based chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has announced its plans to invest $400 million in India over the next five years. The investment would include the establishment of its largest design centre in Bengaluru.

AMD stated that it will establish its new design centre campus in Bengaluru by the end of this year and will create 3,000 new engineering jobs over the next five years.

AMD’s office footprint in India will grow to ten locations with the opening of the new 500,000-square-foot (55,555 square yards) complex.
