The government of Uttar Pradesh (UP) has approved proposals to set up four data centre parks with an investment of over Rs 159.5 billion in the state.

The state cabinet has approved non-financial incentives to NIDP Developers Private Limited and financial and non-financial incentives to three other investors, namely, Adani Enterprises Limited Project-1 and Project 2, NTT Global Data Centres and Cloud Infrastructure India Private Limited.

The proposals have been approved under the Data Centre Policy 2021. According to the state government, this will provide employment to about 4,000 people directly or indirectly.

Additionally, the cabinet has also approved the policy regarding the development of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities of aircraft in UP to make the state a hub of aircraft repair.
