
Uninor has registered an increase in net operating losses from Norwegian Krone (NOK) 107 million for the quarter ended June 2013 to NOK 170 million for the corresponding quarter in 2014. This occurred despite a 40.24 per cent growth in revenues from NOK 728 million to NOK 1,021 million during the same period.
Uninor has attributed increase in losses to investments in network expansion. At present, the operator is redeploying 5,000 telecom sites, which is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2013.
Uninor?s subscriber base has improved by 33 per cent from 24.50 million as of June 2013 to 32.55 million as of June 2014. Its average revenue per user (ARPU) increased by 11 per cent from 10 NOK to 11 NOK during the same period.
