Uninor has posted its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2013.

For the period under review, operator?s revenues have declined by 15.5 per cent as it could relaunch telecom services only in 6 circles out of the total 22 circles. Uninor had to close down its operations in 16 circles following the cancellation of its licences by the Supreme Court in February 2012.

Uninor?s revenues declined from NOK 863 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2012 to NOK 729 million in the corresponding quarter in 2013.

With the closure of services in a few circles, Uninor has managed to narrow its operating loss for the quarter under review to NOK 143 million as compared to NOK 536 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2012. Further, the operator?s subscriber base has increased from 23.5 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2012 across 6 circles to 26 million in the corresponding quarter this year.
