Uninor has launched ‘Grahak Shiksha Kendras? – GSKs (customer education hubs) across six circles to engage with customers and educate them about mobile and internet services.

The operator has set-up about 200 GSKs that will act as knowledge and awareness centres where existing and potential customers can walk in to get information regarding voice and internet services offered by Uninor. According to Uninor, GSKs is a step to create awareness and knowledge among existing and potential subscribers as to how to take the full benefit of communication services being offered by Uninor in their daily lives.

The company plans to convert over 200 retail stores across six circles into GSKs in the first half of 2015 and will establish another 300 GSKs by year end.

Commenting on the launch of GSKs, Vivek Sood, chief executive officer, Telewings Communications Services (Uninor), said, ?Through the GSKs, we will be able to open our stores not just for sales and support but also educate the customer on using their mobile phones for relevant services, be safe and avoid transactions that are not intended.?

Apart from the GSKs, Uninor is also conducting workshops to make its users understand benefits of internet and how to adopt safe Internet practices. At present, Uninor has about 23 per cent of its customer accessing internet on its network. As part of its ?Internet for all? programme, operator targets to convert 50 per cent of its customer base into internet users by 2017.
