Uninor has unveiled plans to expand its retail presence in Andhra Pradesh. The GSM provider, which has established its presence across 23 districts, 500 towns and 2000 villages in the state said that they plan to open 90 stores by June 2011. Currently, there are 65 such stores across the State.
These branded stores serve as a one stop service point for existing and prospective Uninor customers across a majority of district headquarters and Taluk Headquarter in the state.
These stores aim at providing all-round brand experience about Uninor?s offers and services to its customers. Customers can walk into these stores and purchase products such as SIM cards, recharge coupons and handsets and accessories, as well as register complaints and enquire about VAS products.
Satish Kumar Kannan, Business Head, Andhra Pradesh circle, Uninor said, ?Uninor has always been committed to extend its reach and services to our customers whether they are settled in the rural areas or the bigger cities of the state. At present, we have 65 uninor branded stores across three different innovative retail formats and we look forward to a 90 store footprint by June end. We want to provide the same level of brand experience and customer service to our users, their location notwithstanding; this is our promise to our customers no matter whether they visit a Uninor franchisee or a company owned outlet.?
Built on a low cost model, the franchisee express outlets are based on an innovative retail format that caters to towns in Andhra Pradesh, with a population of less than 0.1 million. Similar to the company outlets and franchisee outlets, the franchisee express outlets as well aim to provide an all round brand experience and an umbrella of Uninor?s offers and services to its customers.
