The United Kingdom will bring its first-ever trade delegation to Kolkata, India, on November 18 and November 19, 2024, focusing on expanding artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor sectors. The delegation comprises of 17 leading UK organisations.
The country aims to forge a strategic partnership between UK companies and Indian stakeholders by exploring business opportunities in West Bengal and eastern India. The visit will provide a platform for UK businesses to engage with regional governments and industry leaders, creating potential for collaboration in areas like AI, semiconductor manufacturing, development, and manufacturing.
Meanwhile, the British Deputy High Commission Kolkata, in collaboration with NASSCOM and Asterix Innovations, will host high-level activities to identify new opportunities for collaboration, research, innovation, and investment.
