UAE-based operator Etisalat has announced a partnership deal with Nokia to offer a new range of mobile services based on the Finnish handset maker’s Ovi applications platform to all its mobile users on Nokia devices. Ovi includes applications such as maps, navigation, games, web access, messaging and music, as well as utilities for managing, synchronising and sharing personal files and information. The new product range will be available to Etisalat’s 2G, 2.5G, 3G and 3.5G device users in the UAE by the end of June 2009, while the cooperation will be extended to other networks within the group in the Middle East and Africa in due course of time.
